The Arithmetic of Compassion

In 2016, researchers at Decision Research launched the educational website The Arithmetic of Compassion to teach people about psychological barriers to compassion, including psychic numbing, pseudoinefficacy, and the prominence effect. The website includes a blog section connecting these concepts to current events and a “take action” page that lets people know how they can overcome barriers to compassion like psychic numbing.
